Bio - Helene Jones-Shepherd
Helene Jones-Shepherd, born in New York, received her BA and MA in English Composition
and Literature from Cal State University,
and after retiring from teaching several years ago,
she returned in 2009 as an Adjunct faculty part-time at a Community College.
Between grading essays, she continues to write peotry,
memoirs of world travels, essays, and some short fiction,
and has been published locally and in other editions of OASIS Journal.
"Oh, No, My Battery's Dead" was written as she recalled this humorous,
yet life-changing incident from many years ago. [OASIS Journal 2012 pg. 119]
