Bio - John Barbee

I was a country boy who moved to the city to get an education and a job. But you can't take the country out of a man, so when I retired it was to a small, rural farming community. The area is populated by farmers, fieldworkers, teachers, and truck drivers, who keep horses, chickens, goats, and sheep. There are dairies, egg farms, and fileds of potatoes in this pleasant valley that reflects a time long past. These people are good citizens that work with their hands and are kind, helpful neighbors. My story, "The Tablecloth," is fiction, but the people in it are very real. [OASIS Journal 2012 pg. 257]
